Dear Students and Parents,

Ring ‘n’ Sing are pleased to announce the launch of our latest venture, ‘Alice The Musical’- an adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’ which will be held in Norwich Puppet Theatre in March 2012.

There are many parts available to suit all abilities- from the main speaking characters to singers in the ensemble- everyone can be involved! Singers will learn songs in their lessons alongside their normal tuition. Actors, however, will be required to attend rehearsals outside of their normal lesson time. Closer to show date, there will be full cast rehearsals which everyone will be expected to attend, dates to be confirmed.

To enable us to allocate parts fairly, we will be holding an audition day on Sunday 9th October at Wensum Valley Hotel. Each audition, lasting approximately 10 minutes will be watched by a panel of Ring ‘n’ Sing teachers and will allow us to see who will be best suited to each role. With this in mind, we ask you to prepare a few pieces for your audition:

All auditionees must prepare a song from a musical to be performed without accompaniment
If auditioning for a speaking role, you will need to prepare the set extract for your chosen character.

Dance auditionees must prepare a routine to any song- please bring your own music on CD.
There is a fee of £3.50 for each auditionee, which will go towards cost of the venue hire.
